About Me, My Blog and My Story Writing: FAQ

Laptop in Empty Room

I think I do not need to introduce myself in detail, because actually you already know everything that a visitor of a blog can know about its author. Besides, you have probably noticed my name in the top left corner of each article if you have already read some.  So, yes, I am a blogger who prefers to blog about different tips and tricks of original and creative writing. I guess both my true and false autobiographies can hardly interest you, so I decided to dedicate this page not to my nice self but to the experience I have as an author of real personal blog.

Before I started to work on this page, I found myself remembering about the questions people usually ask me when they meet me for the first time and after I tell them that I am a blogger. I am really glad that until this day I have not heard any condemnation of my hobby and, in fact, job. Or, maybe, I am just a lucky blogger who meets only those guys who would like to follow my example but for some reasons have not started to fulfil their dream yet.

Anyway, I thought it could be a great idea to provide informative exhaustive answers to what we call now as FAQs or frequently asked questions on what I actually do for my living and life satisfaction.

Okay, let us see what I have here.

Why Did I Start Blogging?

Well, this is definitely the most frequently asked question I ever answered during my whole life. I think that those guys who ask it try to find an explanation of their own desire to become bloggers. However, psychology is not my major, so I do not insist on my opinion. Maybe, they are just curious.

So, I actually started my very first blog after one of my teachers advised me to do it. I have been always interested in literature science and everything connected with writing techniques and writers’ personal styles. After I read a few really great books, I wanted to share my impressions and thoughts on what I learnt from them. A blog was a really good idea to do it. As my teacher said, probably one day all my articles would turn into a brand-new book like those which I inspired me. Who knows…

How Often Do I Post New Articles?

Honestly speaking, it depends. I may write an article, save it on my computer and just let it store in one of numerous folders until I am in a good mood to proofread and post it. By the way, proofreading is really important. I notice that sometimes I miss letters, especially if typing too fast, or commas, or I just do not like the way I wrote this or that sentence. You might have also heard about this practice of putting the written text away for some time and then rereading it to make the necessary improvements. I must acknowledge that it works well.

Is It Possible to Earn Money by Blogging?

Yes, it is. There are some guys who write custom blogs for different websites and get money for their work. Or, if a blog appears to be very popular and attracts more and more new visitors, some companies that offer their services online may place their ads on such blogs and pay bloggers some money as well. One of my foreign friends started her own blog about traveling and it gradually got so popular that she was offered a job of travel writer. Now she is a happy person who works traveling around the world.

What Else Do I Do?

When I hear such question, first I usually ask in response: “You mean for living or what?” I do a lot of things as any other person. So, if you mean “for living”, then I can tell you that mostly I am a content writer. I do articles for different websites. I also have some hobbies and I need sleeping, sometimes at least. However, this is something I would like either to discuss in person or to write about in my autobiography.

What Is My Advice for Beginners?

  • Firstly, do not give up if your audience is not very big and there is hardly any reaction from it. If you think there may be something wrong with your style, ask someone trustworthy to look through your texts and comment on them.
  • Secondly, always enrich your knowledge on the issue. Read other blogs, communicate with their creators, ask your friends about what they would like to see in your blog. You will find that the more you learn the more ideas you have for your own work.
  • Thirdly, stay sure of yourself and keep being optimistic about your success whatever happens. This is a rule I always stick to.
